Top 3 Pet Friendly Bed and Breakfasts in Savannah

The hostess city is full of historic charm but perhaps one of the most charming parts about Savannah is the fact that it is such a walkable city. It’s only a one-mile walk from all the shops and restaurants on River Street to the heart of the city, Forsyth Park.
Our second favorite thing about the city is all the squares. Savannah is home to 22 squares or as we like to refer to them, mini-parks. Even on the hottest summer days, locals and visitors alike can be found gathering and lounging under the shade of the tall oaks in the squares. That means Savannah a great destination to travel to with pets.
If you are coming to a town as rich in history as Savannah, it only seems fitting to stay in a bed and breakfast in a charming historic building. Here are a few of our favorite Bed and Breakfasts inside the downtown, historic district that allow pets.
Justine Inn
Talk about Southern Charm; the Justine Inn is EXACTLY what you’d expect a historic home in Savannah to be. From the iron gate and gas lantern that meets you on the street to the fireplaces that ground the main living areas to the most elegant décor. We simply love walking into the Justine Inn. We only wish we got to stay a little longer.
The Justine Inn has beautiful garden-level rooms for pets. What sounds more Savannah than mimosas in the garden with your fur babies?

The Inn on West Liberty
This is where southern charm meets modern amenities. They have made all the right upgrades without losing any of the charm. This is the oldest home on our list and has received awards for Historic Preservation. This bed and breakfast is quintessential Savannah.
Perhaps our favorite part about the Inn on West Liberty is that they actually provide your pet with all the essential supplies like a cozy bed, food and water bowls, and of course our real favorite, snacks. They’ve thought of everything and want every guest, even the four-legged ones, to have an incredible time at the Inn.

Forsyth Park Inn
Just steps away from the most historic landmark and destination spot in Savannah, the Forsyth Park Inn as the name suggests is just across the street from Forsyth Park. Talk about location. It simply doesn’t get any better than this.
Actually, it does. There are rocking chairs and ceiling fans on the front balcony. What says southern charm more than a rocking chair on the porch? We are simply in love with this property. We happen to spend a lot of time at Forsyth Park. We happen to love being outside and that one-mile loop around the park is a great walking path. This is one of those properties that catch your eye EVERY time you walk by it.
